The Bishops slid inside the AAA Top 10 after putting together a pair of lopsided wins over St. John’s and Porter-Gaud in a matter of five days.
Bishop England blew past St. John’s, 42-12, last Monday before toppling rival Porter-Gaud, 42-21, on Friday for its first 4-0 start in the past 33 years.
The Bishops moved to No. 15 after a season-opening win at Christ Church and slid to No. 11 after defeating West Ashley in Week 1.
Bishop England is averaging 35 points per game, while allowing its opposition just 19.3. The Bishops travel to Woodland (1-3) on Friday.
Fort Dorchester is ranked No. 4 in Class AAAAA entering Friday’s Region 7 clash at Wando.
The Patriots and the Warriors both sit at 2-1 on the season. Fort Dorchester has outscored Wando 87-0 through their past two meetings, since junior quarterback Dakereon Joyner has been at the helm of the Patriots offense.
Wando’s won its past two games, both on the road, 36-29 at Conway, and 34-22 at Hanahan. The Warriors are scoring 29 points per game, while allowing 25.7.
Fort Dorchester had its 17-game winning streak snapped by AAAAA No. 1 Dutch Fork last week, 35-22. The Patriots are averaging 45.7 points per game and surrendering 24.3.
Both Wando and Fort Dorchester are returning from a bye last week.
