Dillon kept its perfect season intact with a 43-12 win over Bishop England in the second round of the AAA playoffs on Friday.

Wildcats back Jallian Williams rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 7.9 yards per carry. Quarterback Jay Lester passed for 170 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 91 yards for a Dillon offense that rang up 492 total yards.

Dillon built a 21-point lead three minutes into the second quarter. Bishop England cut into the deficit with a 42-yard touchdown pass from Leo Albano to Chris Dengler with 3:35 left in the half. Albano completed nine of 23 attempts for 111 yards with the score and an interception. Dengler finished with three catches for 63 yards.

Albano was held to 36 yards rushing on 17 carries but did punch in a 2-yard score midway through the third quarter that pulled the Bishops within two scores, 24-12.

Williams answered just over two minutes later, though, with a 42-yard sprint to the end zone. Lester tacked on a 23-yard touchdown pass to Ty’quan Rogers that sent the Wildcats into the fourth quarter ahead 36-12.

Bishop England finishes the season 7-4 overall. Dillon will host Gilbert in a battle of unbeatens in the state quarterfinals Friday.
