Tomas Cox

Defender - 5’11”

Daniel Island, S.C. – Bishop England

Cox is a Charleston native who graduated from Bishop England High School. Somebody who fell in love with soccer from a young age, he played for four years at the South Carolina Battery Academy, suiting up for the U14, U16 and U18 squads. Cox took a gap year to travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, during which time he played soccer in an entirely new culture and added an international flourish to his game.

Bishop England graduate Joesph Terry was a senior defender on the Cougars' 2016 roster.

“Tomas is a tough, tough player,” Lundy said. “This is a versatile player, he’s primarily a left back, but he could also play left midfield or center back or center midfield. He’s grown up around some of the best competition out there, and he just loves to play the game.”
